Something Unknown Doing We Don’t Know What

Going back to Eddington’s statement in which he says “our particle can never have simultaneously a perfectly definite position and a perfectly definite energy…. Hence in delicate experiments we must not under any circumstances expect to find particles behaving exactly as a classical particle was supposed to…”, Preston Harold interprets this as it pertains to the ministry of Jesus:

Thus, Jesus, who in a delicate experiment made Himself a symbol of the “classical particle of God,” could not in truth behave as Messiah was supposed to, and He could not produce the “ideal classical particle,” God the Father, any more than the physicist can produce today the ideal iota of matter.

Harold goes on to explain how this ideal classical particle exists within humankind:

Men see in other men only their personalities – a wave group acting like a particle, a ego-group acting like a man; but just as searching the wave-group does not lead to the ideal classical particle, so searching the ego-group does not lead to the God-cell within man. This cell is “our Father” to the ego-group, is “my Father” to the Authority-Ego, h, and all of it that man may see is the form that surrounds it – the form of man, a being conscious of God within himself, as Son, one. In the divided conscious domain where super-, pre-, and subconsciousness operate, the ego-group may be likened to a cloud of electrons…

Eddington, again from his “The Nature of the Physical World,” describes to us the behavior of a cloud of electrons:

An electron decides how large it ought to be by measuring itself against the radius of the world in its space-directions. It cannot decide how long it ought to exist because there is no real radius of the world in its time-direction. Therefore it just goes on existing indefinitely…

We see the atoms with their girdles of circulating electrons darting hither and tither, colliding and rebounding. Free electrons torn from the girdles hurry away a hundred times faster, curving sharply round the atoms with side slips and hairbreadth escapes. The truants are caught and attached to the girdles and the escaping energy shakes the aether into vibration. X-rays impinge on the atoms and toss the electrons into higher orbits. We see these electrons falling back again, sometimes by steps, sometimes with a rush, caught in a cul-de-sac of mestastability, hesitating before “forbidden passages.”

Behind it all the quantum h regulates each change with mathematical precision….The spectacle is so fascinating that we have perhaps forgotten that there was a time when we wanted to be told what an electron is. The question was never answered. No familiar conceptions can be woven around the electron; it belongs to the waiting list. Similarly the description of the processes must be taken with a grain of salt…

Something unknown is doing we don’t know what – that is what our theory amounts to.

There it is! “Something unknown is doing we don’t know what!” Materialistic science hates to admit this. If they were to admit it, it would be tantamount to pulling the curtain back on themselves and exposing the materialistic-reductionist illusion which they use and manipulate to maintain their power, prestige, and to keep the money flowing. Why don’t we all try heed Eddington’s suggestion, which he applies to his own descriptions, and apply them to all scientific enquiry; let’s take it all with a grain of salt. This is not denying science, this IS WHAT SCIENCE IS SUPPOSED TO BE DOING IN THE FIRST PLACE. Certainly every scientific discovery made within the materialistic-reductionistic paradigm needs a few grains added to it’s recipe.

Preston Harold follows on Eddington’s electronic cloud descriptions:

In parallel, man’s ego-group bespeaks an unknown process – something unknown is “doing we don’t know what” – and one might say that, like an electron, a self-concept or an image of another which makes up the ego-group goes on existing indefinitely, but is relegated to the subconscious, or is repressed into the unconscious, not showing itself until some stimulus from the outside world calls it from latency. In man, the “something unknown” that, with mathematical precision, is doing “we don’t know what” can be only the Authority-Ego working to bring forth a genuine, classical elect-one: a personality in accord with one.

We will continue this train of thought in our next post. Until then, peace.

Jesus, Symbol of h

02_glori_ascen_dali

Preston Harold takes us inside the world of the atom and tells us the same rules apply inside the world of mankind. He lets Jesus be our guide:

Jesus’ words bespeak the uniform chance of energy – the energy of one. He said, “lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.” And His words must also indicate that something within – the atom and the man – must make itself equal to one, to h, before the light or the quantum can enter. As Eddington puts it:

The mysterious quantity h crops up inside the atom as well as outside it….the electrons orbit is restricted to a definite series of sizes and shapes. There is nothing in the classical theory of electro-magnetism to impose such a restriction; but the restriction exists, and the law imposing it has been discovered. It arises because the atom is arranging to make something in its interior equal to h. The intermediate orbits are excluded because they would involve fractions of h and h cannot be divided.

But there is one relaxation. When wave-energy is sent out from or taken into the atom, the amount and period must correspond exactly to h. But as regards its internal arrangements the atom has no objection to 2h, 3h, 4h, etc.; it only insists that fractions shall be excluded…

…when the atom by radiating sets the aether in vibration, the periods of its electronic circulation are ignored and the period of the aether-waves is settled not by any particular mechanism but by the seemingly artificial h-rule. It would seem that the atom carelessly throws overboard a lump of energy which, as it glides into the aether, moulds itself into a quantum of action by taking on the period required to make the product of energy and period equal to h. If this unmechanical process of emission seems contrary to our preconceptions, the exactly converse process of absorbtion is even more so. Here the atom has to look out for a lump of energy of the exact amount required to raise an electron to the higher orbit. It can only extract such a lump from aether-waves of a particular period – not a period which has resonance with the structure of the atom, but the period which makes the energy into an exact quantum.

So what does it all mean? Harold tells us how Jesus interprets Eddington’s statement:

If h could speak, it must say to all atoms, as Jesus, symbol of h, said to all men, that unless within themselves they accept its own “name and being”-become equal to it-they cannot receive light, for “I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you….” so that one’s operation itself determines the seemingly artificial h-rule or Jesus’ “I” rule.

So our spiritual/scientific rule here is “h=I.” Enjoy the applicational possibilities! Until next time, peace.

Paying the Piper

2015PAYINGT-9A-300

In answer to the previous post’s question, Preston Harold once again quotes Sir Arthur Eddington at length…

Attempts to account for this phenomenon follow two main devices which we may describe as the ‘Collection-box” theory and the “sweepstake” theory, respectively. Making no effort to translate them into scientific language, they amount to this: in the first the atom holds a collection-box into which each arriving group of waves pays a very small contribution; when the amount in the box reaches a whole quantum, it enters the atom. In the second [theory] the atom uses the small fraction of a quantum offered to it to buy a ticket in a sweepstake in which the prizes are whole quanta; some of the atoms will win whole quanta which they can absorb, and it is these winning atoms in our retina which tell us of the existence of Sirius…

A phenomenon which seems directly opposed to any kind of collection-box explanation is the photoelectric effect. When light shines on metallic films…free electrons are discharged from the film. They fly away at high speed, and it is possible to measure experimentally their speed or energy. Undoubtedly it is the incident light which provides the energy of these explosions, but the phenomenon is goverened by a remarkable rule. Firstly, the speed of the electrons is not increased by using more powerful light. Concentration of the light produces more explosions but not more powerful explosions. Secondly, the speed is increased by using bluer light, i.e. light of shorter period….

Every electron flying out of the metal has picked up just one quantum from the incident light. Since the h-rule associates the greater energy with the shorter vibration period, bluer light gives the more intense energy. Experiments show that (after deducing a constant “threshold” energy used up in extricating the electron from the film) each electron comes out with a kinetic energy equal to the quantum of incident light.

The film can be prepared in the dark; but on exposure to feeble light electrons immediately begin to fly out before any of the collection-boxes could have been filled by fair means. Nor can we appeal to any trigger action of the light releasing an electron already loaded up with energy for its journey; it is the nature of the light which settles the amount of the load. The light calls the tune, therefore the light must pay the piper.

Harold then comments:

An ancient could convey all of this only by making a symbol of himself to show it. Jesus “radiated” His realization to speed the expansion of consciousness in a brief, intense effort – as symbol of light, “bluer, of shorter period.” As light’s symbol, having settled the amount of the load on the elect-ones, He, Himself, paid the piper. But there is more to the story of h and to the parallel that Jesus’ drama presents.

We will continue to explore this continuing saga in our next installment. Until then, peace.

Time Maps: Part II

Preston Harold now describes his time diagrams from the standpoint of Jesus’ words. He gives us a brief introduction:

The diagrams are not to be taken as more than a token – a token idea is all that can be given. Therefore, if an ancient’s pure thought grasped the truth of time in all it’s complexity, his revelation of it must bespeak such as is beyond man’s comprehension in its entirety; and since time is so involved with space and with a body traveling through space, the ancient’s statement could not at first glance appear to be related directly to the mystery of time.

Once again, Harold reminds us that the ancients didn’t have modern scientific concepts on to which to build their revelations. Poetry was their means of transmission. Now, onto the main event…

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God…With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” –Mark 10:25

 Figure2

Look now at Figure 2. It shows, poetically speaking, that “I, myself” am being drawn through the “eye of a needle” – and when the drawings are understood, it would appear that it is more difficult for “me” to enter “Absolute Elsewhere” which the “eye of the needle” involves (see Figure 4) than it is for a camel to go through a tiny hole.

 Figure4

Consider that if a man possesses the kingdom of God within him, he is rich – and as Jesus depicts true wealth, He, Himself, is rich indeed. Thus, His words must pertain to “how I locate events in my frame” as He presents in words a form that looks like a “circle,” the eye of a needle, which it is possible for “a rich man” to be drawn through, if God draws him, and by a force which is “heaven knows what” – time.

Please also note in Harold’s diagrams that the symbol in the middle of the circle for the “Here-Now” experience is a cross.

Figure1

Harold continues…

“Absolute Elsewhere” provides “room” for the concept of the unconscious, for an eternal abode of the Father who alone knows the secret of time, and who in relation to the possibility of man’s seeing Him must be absolutely elsewhere – thus, all one can see of Him is to be seen in God-consciousness in man’s here-now being.

One here is reminded of last verse of the Prologue to the Gospel of John – “No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father’s heart who has made Him known.” John 1:18

Jesus’ strange word-picture suggests a large mass being drawn through a tiny opening – by means of this contradiction, He indicates poetically that the actual mass of matter is no more than a speck in comparison to what it appears to be. Scientists now confirm this.

And who knew that Jesus taught at light speed?!

Eddington says, “As the speed of matter approaches the speed of light its mass increases to infinity, and therefore it is impossible to make matter travel faster than light.” Jesus made Himself a symbol of light, He poetically “sets the pace” at which a material body may travel: He was called “teacher” and “Lord” – thus, when He says that the scholar is not above his teacher nor the servant above his lord, enough that they fare alike, He restricts the pace to His own, light’s speed.

Move over Millenium Falcon, Jesus is in the passing lane! We’ll finish up our “time maps” installments in the next post. Until then, peace.
